WELCOME TO THE SHMS IMC!
You may access the library collection at this site: SHMS LIBRARY. At this site students and other patrons may browse the collection, put a book on hold or renew items.
eBooks are now availabe at SHMS! You may check them out and read them on your internet device. Click on the Follettshelf icon in the upper right corner of the library webpage or look under "resource lists" in the center of the library webpage and find the list for eBooks. We now have over 100 eBooks available but many more are on their way! You will need to log-in using your regular school log-in number and password.
The SHMS Library or Instructional Media Center (IMC) houses various types of educational equipment and materials. There are also over 14,500 books and magazines for educational and leisure reading. The media center has flexible scheduling which allows students and staff to use the library at any time. The IMC is completely automated and can be accessed via the Internet by clicking on this link. There are three student access computers, two circulation computers and one administrative computer in the library. Seating capacity is about sixty.
The IMC serves more than 550 patrons and circulates, on the average, 45 items per patron during the school year. Each year the library handles over 25,000 transactions.
Check out information
Students are allowed to have three books checked out at a time but are given special permission to check out more, if needed, for research. Reference materials and magazines may be checked out for seven days and books may be checkout for three weeks. Students may renew items once, either online or in the library.
Library Media Specialists
Mrs. Sobotka is the library aide and is a Spring Hill graduate. This is her 13th year as a library aide and her 21st year with the school district.

Book fairs
The SHMS IMC will host two book fairs for the 2013-2014 school year. These Scholastic Book Fairs are each held during the week of Parent-Teacher Conferences in October and February.
