Officer Ken Oziah is No Ordinary Boy in Blue
September 17, 2010
The Spring Hill School District welcomes Officer Ken Oziah, as its new School Resource Officer. Serving all of the district’s schools, his primary mission is the safety of students and staff. In addition, Oziah will be the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) instructor and also work to enhance students’ understanding of law enforcement.
“I look forward to working with the district’s students and staff,” said Oziah. “This is a learning environment for everyone, not just the students. We can learn from each other.”
Oziah’s beat includes more than just the district’s schools. It also includes performing as part of a Blues Brothers act, called The Blues Review. The group performs Blues Brothers’ music as well as other blues and Elvis songs. They will be performing at the Spring Hill Fall Festival at 3:30 p.m.
A member of the Spring Hill Police Department, Oziah has served in the community since 2007. He entered the law enforcement field in 1999 and has worked primarily in the Miami County area. Besides serving as a police officer, Oziah is continuing his college education in the areas of political science and public administration. He also is married with two children.
