Heat & Hydration Resources for Parents and Staff
Keeping student athletes safe as they begin fall sports practices is the district’s top priority. Please take time to review some of the information provided by the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
KSHSAA Heat & Hydration information. Compiled with the assistance of the Kansas Athletic Trainers Society, here you will find a heat index chart, recommended activity modifications based on the heat index, signs and symptoms of heat illness, and proper hydration recommendations.
Heat Index Lookup. This is a simple tool to find the heat index in any area. This tool is used as a guide by the athletic director and coaches.
Play it Safe in the Heat. Compiled by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, this is another great resource containing tips for prevention of heat illness.

New Physical Form & Immunizations Required
