Cheer Team Wins Awards
The Spring Hill High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad excelled at this summer's UCA cheer camp. The camp was held at Coffeyville Community College July 11 - 14th. The girls worked hard each day, earning superior blue ribbons each night for evaluations. The girls came away with the following awards:
First place for home routine competition
Second place extreme routine camp champs competition
Superior Squad Award for being a top performing squad throughout the duration of the camp.
A few of our girls also received individual awards.
Kate Keegan (senior) won the jump competition out of the entire camp.
Rachel Meyer and Kate Keegan (both seniors) were also selected for the All American Award. The girls had to try out for this honor in front of the whole camp and did an excellent job!
I would personally like to thank the parents and guardians of all these girls who made it possible for them to attend camp. We learned a lot and bonded as a squad. I believe this experience will help set us up for an excellent year!!
