District Enrollment Trends Upward
September 21, 2012

The number of students attending the Spring Hill School District continues to increase. The total enrollment is now 2,328, which is an increase of 77 students compared to the 2011-12 school year.
A breakdown by grade level points out some interesting facts. The smallest class in the district by more than 15 students is this year’s senior class, which has a total of 140 students. The two largest classes are the third and fourth grades, which have both passed the 190 mark.
The continued growth is pushing the limits of the building capacities at Spring Hill Intermediate and Middle Schools (see table below). The capacity issues will be resolved next fall when the new Wolf Creek Elementary School opens, and the current Intermediate School is converted to a 6th Grade Center.
