Board Drops Mill Levy for the Fifth Year

August 17, 2012

At its Aug. 13th meeting, Spring Hill Board of Education members unanimously adopted the district's 2012-13 budget. The school district's overall mill levy will be dropping by 0.10, which is the fifth consecutive year that the district has been able to lower the rate. This makes the overall mill levy the lowest that it has been since the 2003-04 school year. In addition, this budget accounts for the 2011 bonds, which were issued last summer.

Keep in mind that the county sets the final mill levy in October. Based on projected school district mill levies, the Spring Hill School District will have the second lowest mill levy in Johnson County.

The entire 2012-13 budget is available on the district’s web site for your convenience. Visit the Budget web site.
