Girls Track Team Places 3rd in Regionals, Prepares for State

The Spring Hill High School Broncos Girls track team broke two more school records and placed higher at Regionals than they have in the past 20 years. Ashley Schoenhofer broke the school record set by Lacey Cunningham by throwing the discus 123' 4". Jami Hodge also broke her own school record that she had recently broken in the long jump with a jump of 17' 8"
Overall, Spring Hill qualified in six events for the State Track meet. This is the most in over 20 years as well. Ashley Schoenhofer will be running the 1600, throwing the discus and running in two relays. Jami Hodge will be jumping in the long jump, triple jump and running in the 4x400 meter relay. Layne Gilliland and Makaela Willis will be running in the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays. Meg Sharemet will be running in the 100 meter hurdles.
