Welcome to the Wonderful World of Kindergarten. Our days will be filled with making friends and many exciting experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.
We will learn all about letters and sounds this year. We learn to read sight words and we'll be drawing and writing sentences and stories in our journals. In math we use lots of manipulatives and activities to learn how to sort, pattern, count, measure, graph, add, and subtract.
As we are working we will also be learning to work in large and small groups and individually. We'll practice making good decisions and using character traits that make us good members of our class.
I truly believe every student has the ability to learn and that learning is a process. I'll bring out the best in each student. We will learn something new every day. You will see how busy we are and how much your kindergartener will learn and change.
I am looking forward to a successful year as your partner in your child's education. We all want your child to be happy and have fun in school.
