The Memphis Red Sox were owned by two brothers.
They were members of the Negro National League from 1924-1930, with the
exception of 1926. They were also affiliated with the Negro Southern League in
1932. The Red Sox became members of
the Negro American League in 1937 and won the first-half championship in 1938
with a 21-4 record. The Red Sox
remained in the league until 1950.
